Jonathan Harris; glassmaker, designer and cameo glass carver is based within the Coalport China museum located in the Ironbridge Gorge, a World Heritage Site, on the banks of the river Severn in Shropshire.
Jonathan & his wife Alison run their small family business designing and producing high quality decorative art glass, hand carved cameo and gräal. We create contemporary fine English Art Glass for collectors worldwide.
Our studio and showroom is open to visitors where you can witness the making of these exquisite pieces. Our work can be found in The British Museum, The National Gallery London & The V&A plus specialist retailers and galleries around the globe. Bespoke design and private commissions also form part of our repertoire.
As an innovative and creative second-generation designer/glassmaker my desire to work with glass and constantly experiment with new techniques is our driving force. For more than 20 years I have researched, developed and refined a wide variety of techniques to combine my fascination with studio glassmaking, technology and graphic arts. Fusing graphic imagery – sometimes elaborate and figurative, with the molten fluidity of hot glass, to create both contemporary and classical works.
