Feltmaker and textile tutor
Working from her home studio in South Shropshire, Marietta designs and makes items in handmade felt using brightly coloured Merino wool and naturally coloured wool from her own Gotland sheep, which are favoured by feltmakers for their lustrous grey fleece. Her design inspirations come from a lifelong passion with Iron Age Britain, woodlands and nature. She is a qualified textile tutor (Cert Ed) and teaches many and varied groups in all aspects of textiles, including embroidery, mixed media, feltmaking, papermaking, dyeing and printing and knitting.
